I have never seen such an example of atrocity turning into prosperity.
Since 9/11 ground zero U.S.A. has turned into a memorial of the human spirit.
We Rue the day that a human purposely hurt their neighbor.
I am inspired and refreshed that NYC's call for help was not unanswered.
In this war scene most of our casualties are the survivors putting the pieces back together - even if they haven't found all the pieces yet.
No matter where you live - your neighbors around the world - have harmed your fellow human. History has shown us that apparently this is an easy mistake to make. I have discovered honor among neighbors in this face of fear and anger. There are fellow beings that will risk their lives for you. There are fellow beings who recognize this and have the desire to offer comfort to our heroes. The UAE and CERMT consist of such people dedicated to the honor and comfort and healing of the human spirit. Your friendly neighborhood emergency response massage therapist has participated in a group effort of over three thousand chair massages to NYC. FDNY, PAPD, NYPD, Safe Horizon's community office's, St. Paul's Ground Zero Relief, Statton Island landfill, all have benefited from the stress relieving massage and aroma therapy. Personal quotes from people directly effected by this volunteer relief effort included - "We desperately needed the stress relief. Thank you CERMT and UAE." "Please come back. There is so much more to do." "Thank you for not forgetting about us!"This humanitarian effort would not have been possible with out donations from the Aromatherapy community or the thoughtful people that donated from just a conversation with a CERMT member. Having allowed myself to experience these dire straits puts quite a strain on the resources.
